A strong maintenance program promotes the health of the course and delivers exceptional playing conditions. TGC at Sacconnesset greens and fairways are world-class - the result of the efforts of the professional maintenance team and the vigilance of its membership.
To allow the Golf Course Maintenance team to work uninterrupted and unimpeded, all morning play that is on the course until 9:00 a.m. that comes upon Golf Course Maintenance preparing the course for daily play must skip the hole. Golf Course Maintenance has been instructed by the Board of Directors not to step aside and stop working. In the past, Stoyan's crew has had to cut corners to stay ahead of fast playing twosomes or threesomes. That practice resulted in poorly manicured bunkers or other conditions that everyone playing the balance of the day had to deal with. Our preference is to let them do their job properly and if someone wants to be off the course by 9:30 a.m. it cannot be at the expense of the course, our crew, and the rest of the Membership.
Golf Course Superintendent, Stoyan Muhov, proactive approach to achieving ideal playing conditions is appreciated by our membership. The fairways and rough at the Club are Colonial Bentgrass and fescues that thrive in coastal climates. The greens are extremely tolerant creeping A-1, A-4 and G-2 Bentgrass (Agrostis palustris). We are protective of our golden fescues, asking guests to please follow cart paths and tread lightly when shots go astray.
